We engaged a professional trail maker to explore our 21 acres and lay out a trail system. He created several trails for our guests’ use only, and supplied us with trail maps, seen below. Three highlights of the trail system appear below.
-
Sunset Point
One of our trails leads to the mouth of Long Cove, which affords sweeping views to the west of Round Cove, the entry to Sebasco harbor, and Casco Bay. This short hike is well worth the view and the sunsets!
-
The Bumper
A favorite local attraction is the Bumper, a rock outcropping 206 feet above sea level, officially known as Robinson’s Rock. One of our trails leaving from Still Meadow leads here, with the permission of a neighbor who owns the land.
-
The Forest
Our 21 acres of forest are private, quiet and beautiful. One of our private trails connects to a public trail system maintained by the neighboring Sebasco Harbor Resort, which leads hikers to the top of Merritt Mountain and other attractions. (Map below)
